Laela-Sumbawanga road (95 kilometres)

The Aarsleff - BAM International joint venture is renovating a 95 kilometres stretch of the trunk road between Laela and Sumbawanga. The road is situated in the south-west of Tanzania, near the borders of Zambia. Works include the upgrading of the gravel road to a single carriageway double surfaced road, as well as the construction of three new bridges and the rehabilitation of one existing bridge. It is expected that the renovation activities will be completed by mid 2013.
