New PFI-project for HBG Construction: Magistrate's courts in Mid-England

HBG Construction has commenced the construction phase for the new magistrates courts centres in Derbyshire.

The contract is to provide magistrates courts accommodation at three localities in Derbyshire for PFI consortium Derbyshire Courts. The consortium, led by Babcock and Brown Properties includes HBG Construction Midlands as design and build contractor and Rentokil Initial Management Services as facilities managers. The £24.6 million design and build element involves magistrates’ courts centres in Derby, Chesterfield and New Mills.

HBG’s architect for the project is Online Architects, with WSP as structural engineers and Couch Perry & Wilkes as HBG’s services consultants.
